Jason McElhinny

For the past ten years, accountant and entrepreneur Jason McElhinny has worked as a business consultant from his company's office in Lake Mary, Florida. Mr. McElhinny partners with firms to help them set standard operating procedures for their managerial, personnel, and finance departments.

In 1993, Jason McElhinny launched his career at Ernst & Young, LLC, in Orlando, Florida. There, he served as Audit and Tax Senior Accountant for two years. In this post, he completed accounting duties and tax returns for customers, and he worked in various specialty areas.

As Chief Financial Officer at High Reach Company, Inc., Mr. McElhinny oversaw banking and lending partnerships, reviewed financial records, and created business plans for the firm. When High Reach was acquired by NationsRent, Inc., he continued in a new post, serving as Merger and Acquisition Associate in various American cities from 1998 to 2000.

Transitioning to California-based Northridge Equipment Rentals, Inc., in 2000, Mr. McElhinny effectively lessened the company's debt through restructuring. Simultaneously, he successfully built the client base of the business, which had assets totaling $80 million.

Mr. McElhinny began his own consulting business in 2002. Applying expertise garnered in the equipment rental sector, he negotiates debt instruments, provides fair market valuations, and oversees successful turnaround management for his clients. In 2011, he was hired by Contractor Sales & Service, LLC. He oversaw a debt restructure for the Iowa-based firm and led it back into profitability.

Jason McElhinny earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University in Tallahassee. An avid philanthropist, he is an organizer for Toys for Tots in Des Moines, Iowa.
