We would like to introduce ourselves as Jason and Penny Scheurer of BEST Techs Contracting. We are passionate about Design | Build | Remodel, and are General Contractors with Home Performance as our premise. We have been Contractors for over 25 years and started the Net Zero Energy Building as part of our platform back in 2006.

We were introduced to “Green Building” Standards by a friend and started to take classes to learn more about this new concept, or so we thought it was new. At the same time, we had started the process of building our own investment property, a three story 2,817 sq ft home from the ground up in downtown Huntington Beach on 21 street. Armed with this new information that we had become familiar with, we had no choice but to “Build It Right” and so the journey began. We named our project “Living Green on 319” and the property became the first of its kind in all of Orange County, CA.

A Net Zero Energy, Green Point Rated (210 points) single family home that was a huge success. This property drew the attention of local officials, media, and over 10K in visitors, as well as green manufacturers and supply companies that either donated or discounted over $250K worth of GREEN and Eco-Friendly products. The home was displayed and advertised for its uniqueness, which also helped the city of HB implement new energy efficient codes.

Since the showcase of “Living Green on 319”, the both of us have been relentless with our drive for Energy Efficiency and “Build it Right” for all of our clients. We are dedicated to helping clients that are looking for not just a General Contractor, but a Home Performance Contractor that will outperform their competition (if there is any), test, measure and prove the home’s end results are truly green!
