Jason Vegosen
An artist and athletic competitor from a young age, Jason Vegosen has utilized his talents while exploring a desire to help people. Vegosen began skateboarding when he was only four years old and demonstrated considerable skill in the sport as a teenager in the 1990s. Sponsored by national skateboard companies Girl, Chocolate, and The Firm, he was able to hone his abilities and travel throughout Florida as an amateur competitive skateboarder.
Competitive by nature, Jason Vegosen’s skills in the skate park were matched by his abilities in Taekwondo. In three consecutive years, from 1994 to 1996, Vegosen won three separate events at the Florida martial arts championships. After obtain designation as a certified Taekwondo instructor, Vegosen began working at Jae Kim Martial Arts Institute in 1997, and became a member of the United States Taekwondo Union (now USA Taekwondo).
After a knee injury in 2000 forced Vegosen out of competitive sports, he decided to pursue a career in the medical field. Through a four-year nursing program with Quest Diagnostics, Vegosen developed skills recognized by the management at Advanced Medical Practices, who invited him to join the company as a full-time Medical Assistant after his internship there.
While pursuing his career in the medical profession, Jason Vegosen found time to explore his love of art by becoming a tattoo artist. Certified in Florida in 2003, he worked in multiple studios in tattoo hotspots throughout the state and performs custom, personalized works of art at clients’ homes. Despite a move away from the medical profession in 2008, Vegosen hopes to obtain a new position that utilizes his training in nursing.
