"My grandfather worked in the communications industry for over 40 years and he taught me the value of providing excellent customer service along with the importance of maintaining attention to detail. Serving in communication industry leadership roles, particularly one with the SCTE, is a way for me to give back to the industry that has given so much to my family and to me. Having my start as a customer service representative, and serving in a number of other roles prior to being named Chief Technology Officer, has allowed me the unique opportunity to see the cable and broadband industry from a variety of perspectives. This understanding allows me to better promote the SCTE in my company and community, in Region 8 and nationally. I believe that the training programs offered are a key benefit of the Society and I will work to encourage all members to take advantage of these opportunities." Jason Hansen is the Chief Technology Officer at Conway Corporation in Conway, Arkansas. Ever mindful of the future and with the vision and courage to explore alternative solutions, Jason strives to improve and expand the company's advanced services.
