Jasper Versteege
Hi, my name is Jasper Versteege. I'm a philosopher and entrepreneur from Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. I'm also the founder of the world's first crowd lottery: CrowdLottery.com.
Which makes perfect sense, because if you look back in history it turns out the first lotteries with monetary prizes were held in the low countries in the 15th century. And the Dutch state owned Staatsloterij is the oldest running lottery in the world (since 1726). So it's not that crazy the world's first crowd lottery was launched by a Dutchman :-).
It has been my lifelong dream to become a philanthropist and make a difference in the world. I've studied both Economics and Philosophy because I wanted to combine the best of both worlds; to understand the market / world and use that knowledge to make this world a better place. The crowd lottery concept is the result of that specific combination.
As a global citizen living in a connected world I see a lot of opportunities to reshape the world in fairer and more transparent ways. I believe it is possible to have a positive impact on this world by leveraging the power of crowds. Leveraging works best if you manage to keep efforts at a minimum and rewards at a maximum. CrowdLottery.com is the perfect format to leverage this power; together we can create better chances for everyone!
We are all Ambassadors of Happiness.
