Jatinder-Bir Sandhu

Jatinder-Bir Sandhu works as the President of NYX, Inc., a Detroit-based company specializing in automotive parts and related systems. Mr. Sandhu prepared for this position beginning in 1989 as a Production Manager. Over time, NYX promoted Mr. Sandhu to Plant Manager of its Schoolcraft, Michigan, location and subsequently named him Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In that role, he led the company through eight major acquisitions. At his start with NYX in 1989, Jatinder-Bir Sandhu was enrolled in the University of Detroit Mercy. He worked as he studied business, graduating in 1990 with his Master of Business Administration. Prior to pursuing his graduate degree, Jatinder-Bir Sandhu attended Butler University in Indiana. There, he studied physics and biology, graduating with honors in 1987 and earning a Bachelor of Science. Today, he serves on the Butler University Board of Trustees. In addition to leading the corporation with revenues of more than $250 million, Jatinder-Bir Sandhu dedicates much of his time and resources to charity. A donor to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, he also serves as a member of the Michigan Minority Business Development Council’s Scholarship Committee, through which he helps aspiring students pay for their educations. Previously, he applied his years of executive knowledge as a Trustee with the Minority Business Program at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. In addition to his leadership obligations, Jatinder-Bir Sandhu lives in the City of Northville, Michigan with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, skeet shooting, and, when time allows, traveling.
