Jean-Claude Atusameso, applies smart and sustainable solutions to build strong African communities. He is a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 1999, Jean-Claude founded Jatukik Providence Foundation as part of his efforts to revitalize and strengthen the war torn Democratic Republic of Congo. He has a very holistic approach in bringing relief and development to Africa and the Caribbean Basin.

Jean-Claude also serves as Director of the Nexus Solutions Group in the African Division of the George Mason University’s Global and Community Heath Programs. He also serves as Program Director for the Democratic Republic of Congo operations of the Earth Rights Institute.

Jean-Claude Atusameso has been very involved in the Dodd Frank Conflict minerals Legislation. In partnership with the Enough Project, he worked closely with John Prendergast to support this Conflict minerals law. He also worked with State Legislator Shane Robinson to successfully pass into law the “Conflict Free” minerals legislation in the State of Maryland. He was present at the signing ceremony of this law by the Governor Martin O’Malley.
