Javeria Tareen

Born and raised in Pakistan’s Balochistan province and holding a master degree in journalism and mass communication, Javaria Tareen has been working with the UN Refugee Agency as a Senior Communication and Public Information Associate.
She was awarded Hubert. H. Humphrey scholarship in 2013 by the US State Department where she worked with Amnesty International and was also part of the US exchange programme in 2011.
Javaria Tareen is a human rights activist who always raised voice for women’s rights and education in Balochistan. She plays an active role in exploring employment opportunities for educated women. She also works on public awareness, research and policy studies. She encourages women to stay together, work together and raise voices together to ensuring prosperous future.
