Dr. Javed Barkatullah is a business leader and senior visionary technologist with over 23 years of experience in design, architecture, and implementing custom circuit units. Dr. Barkatullah is the founder and current principal of Barkatech Consulting, LLC, where he provides services for various start-up companies in software and hardware development fields. His most recent project included designing and implementing a custom processor for bitcoin mining application.

Throughout his career, Dr. Barkatullah has demonstrated an innate talent for being a strong leader. From a multitude of experience in growing business ventures to assembling geo-dispersed teams to distribute products under harsh conditions, Javed is well equipped in the field of technological management. Because of his rigorous background in various educational and work places, Dr. Barkatullah is an expert in digital ASIC/SOC design, HP/LP design, Verilog design, simulation, synthesis, Cadence & Synopsys EDA tools, custom design, and standard cell library design, and has a plethora of knowledge concerning implementing extensive research in high performance and low power circuits. He has also designed custom ASICs using the most current process nodes, which include TSMC 20nm and 16 nm.

Dr. Javed Barkatullah has attained elite professional positions throughout his work-life. Apart from his current established principal position at Barkatech Consulting, LLC, his other positions include: Principal Engineer/Design Manager at Nvidia Corporation, Technical Staff at Stexar Corporation, and Senior Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation. Because of his extensive and diverse educational background, Dr. Barkatullah was well-equipped and excelled at these various leadership positions throughout his career. He received his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Iowa in 1990, a Ph.D. also from the University of Iowa in 1992, and an MBA from Willamette University in 2012.
