Javed Younis
Javed Younis, Vice President of Sales for Trans American Medical (Tamsco), completed his education at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. While earning a Bachelor of Science, Mr. Younis spent a semester abroad through the University of Pittsburgh before receiving his degree in 1991. Just days after graduation, Mr. Younis joined Trans American Medical, where he oversees domestic and international transactions for the company, which exports over 1,200 different products to nearly 25 countries worldwide. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Javed Younis participates in numerous community organizations and charities. Mr. Younis is a member of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Serving Muslims in North America for over 40 years, ISNA also expands its reach to global humanitarian efforts. He was also heavily involved in aiding victims of the Pakistani earthquake through the United States-based nonprofit organization Dosti Foundation. Other charities Mr. Younis supports include Feed My Starving Children, Hamdard Center, Pakistani flood relief efforts, and Amnesty International. In his personal life, Mr. Younis has a purple belt in Taekwondo and volunteers as a martial arts instructor at the Al-Huda Academy in Schaumburg, Illinois. In this role, he hosted the school’s Second Annual Taekwondo Tournament in April 2011. Mr. Younis’s other hobbies include running, volleyball, grilling, and playing poker.
