Javelle Houston

After studying at the State University of New York at New Paltz School of Business, Javelle Houston received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and continued on to create a six-year track record of success in the financial and asset management industry. An alumni member of the Student Association, Javelle Houston was equipped at SUNY with the technical financial knowledge to succeed in business.

Javelle Houston started his career at a high-end home development company, where he was the Accounting Assistant. While he worked at Flag Luxury Properties, Javelle Houston supported the Senior Accountant in accounts payable, data entry, and invoice tracking. Javelle Houston was also in charge of preparing expense reports and organizing, filing, and copying vendor files.

After a year at Flag Luxury Properties, Javelle Houston took his multi-tasking skills to MJX Asset Management, a specialized asset management company that currently manages over $4 billion in collateralized loan obligation (CLO) funds. During his time at MJX, Javelle Houston helped the middle office manage seven CLO funds with assets over three billion dollars, reconcile daily cash positions for each individual fund, report daily market positions to portfolio managers, and ensure maximum cash utilization.

After his success as a Portfolio Assistant with MJX, Javelle Houston joined DiMaio Ahmad Capital in 2006. Javelle Houston currently works with DiMaio Ahmad as an Associate, reviewing all loan documentation, closing trades via paper and electronic settlement, reconciling daily trade activity, and performing various other financial tasks.

A member of the American Finance Association, Javelle Houston continues to use his many technical skills to excel in the investment industry.
