Javier Fernández-Lozano

Javier Fernández Lozano studied geology at the University of Madrid (UCM), Spain, and continued with his PhD in structural geology and Tectonics in the Utrecht University, The Netherlands. He is also a research member of the Spanish Geosciences Institute (IGEO), associated to the CSIC.
Javier´s research has focused on tectonics, lithosphere dynamics, mechanisms of intra-plate mountain building and basin development. Currently he is working on analogue modeling, 3D modeling and gravity interpretation. Moreover, he has been publishing in highly prestigious international journals since 2008.
He is also a member of the Spanish Geological Society, the European Geosciences Union and the American Geosciences Union since 2006.
