Javier Garza

Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.

I see myself as an octopus of eight tentacles. Each tentacle is in balance with the others, and each represents something essential for life: family, friends, exercise, professional development, soul mate, learning, travel, spirituality.

The best way to learn is by doing. That’s why I have a bias towards action and when I discover that something needs to be done differently, I embrace change.

I am a highly curious person in every respect. I love talking about ideas, and I do my best to understand people. I don’t have everything figured out in life, but it doesn’t matter. I have a smile, and I hope to receive one back.

Most of all, I try to live according to my own system of beliefs:

- There are two ways to see everything: either everything is a miracle, or nothing is a miracle, and I choose the first view.

- There is always something to improve, and solutions sometimes come from unexpected places.

- The only thing I cannot stop doing is learning.

- When people work together, they have the power to generate better ideas.

- Taking on the impossible challenge forges character.

- Talent is a precious element that should be respected regardless of where you find it – from CEO to street musician, from CFO to football player.

- We all have a mission to make a meaningful impact on the people around us. I will work as hard as needed to discover my mission, and I wish you good luck with yours.
