Javier Maquieira

Javier is as strategic communication professional with public affairs, lobbying, and gender issues undergraduate training (UPF, UCLA) and more than two years of relevant experience in corporate communications (Glovo, Ogilvy Public Relations). Building on his interest in international relations and public diplomacy, Javier is currently undertaking the MA in World History at Pompeu Fabra University, where he is a member of the United Nations Students Association (UNSA) Barcelona and Entremons: UPF Journal of World History.
He has field experience in communication projects and has participated in the coordination and development of global initiatives through agency work (Ogilvy Public Relations) and volunteering (Global Cultural Districts Network).
Research-oriented, proactive and resourceful, Javier is specialised in discourse analysis and social action strategies and is looking for new exciting projects.
