Growing up a UGA fan my entire life, it was only natural for me to go to school at Georgia. I can still remember not being able to see the football field during UGA home games, because I was too short too see over the guard rail in the upper deck of Sanford Stadium. Once I finally got to Athens, and was able to call myself a student at the University of Georgia, I knew exactly what I wanted to focus on here. I am a pre med student, and though I know I won't be attending Harvard Med School like I had hoped for as an overconfident freshmen, I will be applying to Medical schools this summer.
As hard as I have had to work to succeed in my science, and as much as it effects my life, it is not what defines me as a person. I have always tried to maintain a healthy mix between academics and the rest of my life outside of school. I am a member of the Chi Phi fraternity, and have met some of my best friends there. I have some of my best friends from high school as fraternity brothers, as well people from around the country. Living in the fraternity house as a sophomore was an experience I will never forget, and would not have traded it for anything.
I have continued my love of the outdoors in college as well. My grandparents live on a farm about an hour from Athens, and I try to see them as much as possible. While there I love to hunt and fish with my father. My family is from Atlanta, and both of my parents are UGA grads, so it is always nice to see them at a home football game, or when I take a trip home. I am very excited about is having one year in college to share with my little sister. She just got accepted into UGA and will be here next year.
My life as a writer has also been heavily effected by my choice to pursue a career in the sciences. This course was the first serious writing course I have taken since my senior year of high school. The high school I attended is a private school in Atlanta, and is very writing focused. This class has allowed me to see the connections between my science based eductaion and writing. The connections I have made have actually made me a better student in both disciplines.

Whatever my future holds, which hopefully is a career in medicine, I know a few things will be true. My Family and friends will always be the most important things to me, and whatever career I have, the writing skills I developed will be invaluable.
