Jay Hogan

Jay Hogan lives in Richmond, VA with his wife Catherine and sons McGuire (Mac) and Bower. He and his wife met through eHarmony, which seemed unique and strange at the time but is now so ordinary.

Jay's first child, Lois, was born in 2008 with Down Syndrome. He learned much about unconditional love, the joy of life and the complete un-importance of comparative achievement from her. She died in February of 2011 from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Later that year Mac was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Jay works with a great team creating software that not only solves some business problem, but also accounts for the person behind the keyboard. His passion is building software that just works using iterative development, automated testing and continuous delivery.

Jay enjoys NFL football (Steelers), college football (Virginia), fantasy novels (Wheel of Time) and all things Geek.
