I have played many sports over my childhood years. Some of them I was better at than others, but there were also some that I just felt a strong passion for. Football was that passion for me and has always been my backbone through any adversity. This passion for football practically came with me as I was born and on top of that the love for the Georgia Bulldogs. It was like getting a two for one deal right as I was born.
I grew up around football my whole life, with my mom and uncle being trainers here. I was lucky enough to see my uncles play football here at the University of Georgia and after those experiences, there was no way of trying to stop me from playing as I began to grow up. I began to use football as my support system for anything I was going through, whether it be adversity from classmates, my community, or even making the change of moving cities in middle school. Football was always the one thing that stayed consistent throughout those challenges and I began to grow a stronger passion for it than I would ever think.
I have had so many great experiences through the game of football. It has taught me how to become a man, manage my responsibilities, learn a strong work ethic, and brought me my two best friends. I could not have asked for a better experience playing sports growing up.
I love being around football so much that I worked with the UGA football team this past season. Being at practice every day around those guys always having fun and the sound of those pads hitting made me want to start playing football again. Here I am all five feet eight inches tall and 160 pounds of me trying to play football at UGA. It’s a crazy thought to think about, but I love facing adversity. It challenges me to be a better person, so we will see what the future holds.
