Jayde I. Powell

Hey! I'm Jayde (pronounced Jade, but with a fancy Y).

I recently graduated from Georgia State University where I studied Spanish, marketing, and international business. A few of my passions are entrepreneurship, social media, and global citizenship.

My love for entrepreneurship began when I was 17. I started my own baking business; selling cupcakes and cookies to my peers and teachers in high school. Having my own business taught me a lot about customer service and branding.

Between the years of me owning my business and working as a social media manager, I have created, liked, shared, tweeted, favorited, and "interacted with" thousands of posts across different social media platforms. In this moment, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat are my favorites!

I am also a second-gen, which I believe gives me an appreciation for diversity and different cultures. I have studied Spanish for more than 6 years. Wepa! Although I do not speak Spanish fluently, yet, I will continue to travel in order to enhance my speaking and writing skills. Last summer, I studied abroad in Brazil with the International Business Institute at my university (I also would love to learn Portuguese) and I recently spent 6 weeks in Costa Rica studying Spanish.
