Emmanuel-Divine Agbo, professionally known as Jayke, formerly known on his old account under the username @jhay-ke, is a Nigerian rapper and singer born and raised in Lagos. Known for his unique AfroRuff style — a fusion of Afrobeat, trap, and raw lyrical energy — Jayke discovered his passion for music at just 7 years old.

By the age of 10 to 11, he had already started rapping in rap fame circles, showing the hunger and ambition that would later shape his journey. At just 12 years old, he released his first track, Underrated, on Audiomack, earning him the nickname “Mr. Underrated” among his peers.

Jayke later formed the duo Afroboyz with Smurdee under Divi Nation Gang (DNG), alongside artists like Demie and Carlizz. The movement quickly became known for its creativity, brotherhood, and ambition. However, internal conflicts later led to a public disagreement between Jayke and Carlizz, inspiring a diss track and eventually contributing to the dismantling of DNG.

Despite the challenges, Jayke remained focused on his musical journey, forming new creative relationships, including with artist Tochizi, while continuing to evolve his sound and artistic direction.

Driven by faith, resilience, and determination, Jayke continues to push the AfroRuff movement forward, representing a new generation of Nigerian artists ready to leave a lasting mark on the global music scene.
