Jaylian Williamson
My name is Jaylian JaVon Julian Williamson, a student-athlete, in my junior year at Hampton University. I was born in Portsmouth, VA to Mr. Julian Williamson and Kimberly Williamson. At an early age I gravitated towards sports in which I spent most of my early development years playing recreational sports in the Hampton Roads area. Often as a spectator to my older brother Korey, I found a way to be around sports.
During my high school years as a standout quarterback for the Oscar Smith Tigers, my coaches always thought I displayed great leadership and communication skills, which made me very successful where I lead my team as Virginia State Champions. My dedication to excellence was rewarded with an athletic scholarship to Hampton University. With this scholarship, I decided to work on an degree of Sports Management, that one day would give me the opportunity to become the professional I longed dreamed of, a licensed Sports Agent.
Outside of football, I spend my summers giving back to the community and youth. I volunteer with Don Rose Summer Camps. I also serve as a youth Counselor every summer with Portsmouth Parks and Recreation. During this time I supervise, and plan instructional and extra curriculum activities for the youth, of groups of 20 or more campers.
