Jay Prasad
Experienced in a variety of primary startup sectors, Jay Prasad focuses on social, video, and mobile technologies. He draws on an array of professional organizations within these fields while continuing his career. Jay Prasad is a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Interactive Group, more commonly known as SF Big, the Yahoo! Employee Foundation, and Digital Media Professionals. Jay Prasad earned his BBA in Marketing, International Business, and Risk Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He graduated in 1997. Continuing to refine his abilities through advanced opportunities in education, Jay Prasad studied International Business and International Political Economics at the London Business School in Great Britain. Joining Yahoo! in 2008, Jay Prasad accepted a position as the Regional Director of Video Advertising Sales and Strategy. In this role, Jay Prasad helped envision and realize the company’s video advertising operations. He worked alongside a number of Fortune 100 advertising leaders to create revenue models and product integrations. In 2009, Jay Prasad was promoted and rose to his current position as the Strategic Account Director at Yahoo! Working from the company’s office in San Francisco, California; Mr. Prasad oversees high-profile marketing and advertising business partnerships. Jay Prasad is now involved in expanding advertising revenue with several high- level brands, including Nike, Microsoft, Intel, HTC, and Symantec. His managerial duties span a variety of sectors, including video, branded entertainment, search, mobile, and display. Before bringing his talents to Yahoo!, Jay Prasad forged a career history of several major successes. Just two years after finishing his studies, Mr. Prasad served as the Vice President of Strategy at Vation/Liquid Thinking, an internet technology application service provider that he helped found. Jay Prasad pitched, negotiated, and completed sales to major industry figures, including AOL and led Vation/Liquid Thinking into its partnerships with E.piphany, Qwest, Interwoven, and others. Dedicated to using his own success to give back to others in need, Jay Prasad donates regularly to The Salvation Army and The Smile Train. Mr. Prasad also donates his time and performs community service through City of Dreams and Family Giving Tree, both organizations for underserved children.
