Jeremy Persaud, better known to his fans as 'Jayse', was born in the Bronx, New York on April 23rd, 1987. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Queens, where he was raised in Laurelton area. He started performing at the young age of six, participating in various school plays throughout his grade school years. He always had a passion for the arts, singing in particular. He taught himself to sing listening to such talented artists as Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Jodeci. He received vocal training from Julio Matos at the theatre department at City College on New York.
