Jay Pocius is a seasoned real estate developer, designer, and broker whose work spans three major markets: Chicago, Las Vegas, and California’s Central Coast. His career began on the South Side of Chicago, where he specialized in revitalizing distressed neighborhoods through the development and construction of single-family homes, townhomes, and boutique multi-family projects. From full-gut rehabs to ground-up new builds, Jay brought new life and thoughtful design to blocks that had long been overlooked, combining a deep respect for neighborhood history with a forward-thinking approach to urban renewal.

Building on this foundation, Jay relocated to Las Vegas and founded DONTBECHI Designs, a residential development and design firm inspired by the elevated architectural sensibilities of his Chicago roots. DONTBECHI focuses exclusively on distressed properties, uncovering hidden value and transforming them into thoughtfully curated, high-design living spaces that respect both aesthetic and community integrity. Under Jay’s leadership, the firm has earned a reputation for balancing organic modern elegance with real-world constraints, delivering homes that are as smart and sustainable as they are beautiful.

Jay also served in a strategic role with KB Home, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, where he specialized in Land Acquisition and Land Development. There, he led initiatives targeting distressed neighborhoods and underutilized commercial corridors across Las Vegas, playing a key role in reshaping neglected areas through responsible, large-scale residential development. His focus on gentrification with purpose, reviving communities while protecting their character, defined his work and expanded his impact.

Today, Jay brings his diverse experience to the California coast as Co-Owner and Partner of Realty ONE Group Summit, a dynamic real estate brokerage based in Ventura, CA. At ROGSummit, he is leading a new era of growth, focused on agent empowerment, community-driven expansion, and long-term sustainability. His multifaceted background in development, design, brokerage, and land strategy gives him a rare 360-degree view of the real estate lifecycle, allowing him to coach agents, guide clients, and shape communities with intention and impact.
