I started investing in real estate in 1992 using the Carlton Sheets method for no money down acquisitions. From there I was mentored by Mark Haroldsen in traditional real estate investing, acquisitions through banks (REO, Short Sales, Foreclosures and Pre-foreclosures). In 1998 I saw Saen Higginson speak on Tax Lien investing and was amazed at the fantastic returns guaranteed by state governments.

In 2008 I became a trainer for Saen Higgins and Tony Martinez and the US Tax Lien Association. I still train their students regularly. Through the years of real estate investing I’ve developed a focus that has changed my life. From bankrupt to Millionaire in 5 years. From broke in 2008 to not having to worry about money at all.

I found a new worry however. What mark, what good was my investing doing. When I began to focus on investing with a higher purpose, my returns improved and my passion to do it grew exponentially. I’ve since been able to incorporate social purpose into my lecturing and audiences around the world responded enthusiastically and joined my vision of changing lives of our underserved communities while making fantastic returns.
