Jay Thornsberry

Raised in Kansas City, I have developed passions for many things, including barbecue, rock-n-roll, and baseball. Baseball is a natural passion, as my birthday, April 2, is at the beginning of baseball season, and my first job was with the Kansas City Royals. I have shared elevators with George Brett, Ruben Sierra, and Cecil Fielder. After earning an MBA, I achieved a successful career in banking and finance, with the past eight years in commercial real estate lending. Now is the time for me to rediscover my passion for baseball. I have extensive knowledge of teams, players, strategy, and rules of the game on and off the field. I am proud of the fact that I have strong quantitative skills to go along with being an accomplished writer. I look forward to the challenge of contributing my skills and education to helping a team consistently with at a high level. I am adept at adhering to organizational philosophy and strategy with a focus on what is best for the organization.
