James “Jazzy” Jordan is an American record executive, songwriter, composer and record producer who was instrumental in the careers of varied musical acts including DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, Kool Moe Dee, Salt N' Pepa, PM Dawn, Will Downing, Joe, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, and Kirk Franklin. He was the Executive Vice President (EVP) and General Manager (GM) of Verity Gospel Music Group (VGMG), a division of Sony Music Entertainment, INC. Over his 30-year career, Jordan has worked in a variety of areas within the music industry such as marketing, promotions, radio broadcasting, and retail.
