Joshua was born in Los Angeles, CA. Joshua’s parents were both immigrants who came to the US from Guatamala and Peru to have a better life. Joshua’s mother works as a nurse assistant in Sherman Oaks. Joshua’s father is a car dealership owner.
Joshua joined the United States NAVY at age 17. At 21, a month before honorably discharging from his service in the military, Joshua received the NAVY Achievement Medal for his service in the operations OEF onboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower CVN 69 attached to squadron VFA-103 Jolly Rogers.
Joshua is a huge rock climber, he has climbed in many countries around the world including Spain, Greece, Dubai, Portugal, and France. Joshua enjoys the outdoors and enjoys adrenaline heavy sports. Joshua has bungee jumped, cliff dived, and is a PADI certified Rescue Diver. Joshua aspires to continue his extreme sports addiction and become a BASE jumper.
Joshua moved back to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career and trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, completing a 2 year conservatory program. Joshua has also studied at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio and the Anthony Meindl Actor Workshop studio.
Joshua landed his first movie role in 2015 for a supporting role in a Sarah Hyland movie “XOXO.”
