Writer in New Jersey
I've been a professional writer/editor for 25 years in a variety of mediums including: journalism, copywriting, screenwriting, video game scriptwriting, comic/graphic novel writing, marketing communications, and technical writing.
I was a Chesterfield Screenwriting Fellow (’98) and a semi-finalist for the Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship. I’ve had four optioned screenplays: Wild Boys screenplay (optioned by producer/director, Rachel Talalay, 1995); Danny Boy screenplay (optioned by Jon Shestack/Beacon Communications, 1999); Oasis Motel screenplay (optioned by Grey Line Entertainment, 2003) and The Marvelous Boy (optioned by MC Entertainment, 2011). While working for a Web site called What They Play, I wrote/produced/directed several TV/Web pilots, most notably, GAME TIME!.
I’ve also written for The Daily Intelligencer (PA), Marvel, Wizards of the Coast, Gentleman’s Quarterly (GQ), Playboy, WIRED/Conde Nast, IGN, Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), Ars Technica, Yahoo!, 1UP, What They Play, GamePro, Imagine Publications (NOW Gamer, X360, Play tm, Retro Gamer, etc.) Gameranx, GameFront, Indie Gamer Chick, Movie Pilot, GameCrate, Geeks of Doom, Artistry in Games, Geekadelphia, Bitmap Books, The Sims Magazine, Chauffeur Driven Magazine, Cosplay Culture Magazine, Little Player Magazine, SuperParent, Schiffer Publishing, Andovar, Level 74, Laptop Magazine, RingZero Games, Your Tango, and many others.
On top of that, I’ve worked as the video game/script writer on nine titles: TYNON, LUCKY, SCOURGE OF THE SCARECROW, RIDE TO HELL (script for cinematic trailer), PIRATE LEGENDS, SUMOBOY, CHIBI PHOENIX, and the upcoming PRISONSCAPE, and WHATTASTORY!
I am currently employed by Microsoft/Mojang as writer on Minecraft, but I am always open to new opportunities in the entertainment and/or interactive entertainment industries.
