I'm a first year teacher with a deep passion for education and knowledge! I am what many may call the "traditional liberal arts student" who had more majors than I can even remember. After plenty of starts and stops, I finally settled on Political Science and Sociology for my Bachelors' degrees. Immediately after graduation, I worked in college admissions, which (re)sparked my interest in K-12 education because I saw such a gap in the resources and opportunities that my students had depending on what area of the city they lived in. I originally started at UGA in the Masters of Public Administration program with a goal of working eventually in education policy. Earlier this year, I ended up taking an elective course in the College of Education and finally had my lightbulb moment! I applied to the Masters in Educational Administration and Policy and the rest is history. Now I have dreams of being a master teacher and possibly working in school leadership one day!
