Joshua Bruce

I'm the round peg attempting to fit in the square hole. I consider myself a visionary, a person who refuses to operate "in the box." I am a huge fan of innovative technologies and their applications in our everyday lives to make us more efficient and knowledgeable. As a hospice advocate I believe wholeheartedly that everyone deserves the best care available. I am driven by a strong sense of ethics and moral values. I believe that we are here to serve a higher purpose in the hospice industry. My colleagues would describe me as eccentric.

I started volunteering for hospice when I was 14. As I grew I learned to love this industry each and every day. I have grown from paper pushing to recruiting volunteers and then to assisting families in making the decision to enroll in hospice. Everyday I believe I learn something new. Something to help guide me in the direction that my patients deserve. Today I lead the Mississippi Gulf Coast office of Canon Hospice. I am proud to be a part of such a powerful mission. I am also proud to be apart of our community projects. One in particular is Camp Swan. Camp Swan is our children's bereavement camp, and I can't even begin describe the overwhelming feeling one has by participating in something as powerful as this.

I am here to change the world, one person at a time!
