JB Whitten

I am Jerry B. Whitten, but use JB Whitten for all matters. I am married with two daughters and 3 grand-children and live with my wife, Ann, in Northwest Florida. I am New England born, but Florida by choice. I spent nearly 30 years in the Air Force, culminating my career with 4 positions as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commanding Officer. Upon retirement from the Air Force, I helped start a new company in Tampa, Florida. That didn't work for me; therefore, I left and went into teaching at the high school level. I taught and was a Specialist for 12 years. My wife and I moved to Crestview in 2010 and I became involved in the community by volunteering with the Ameican Red Cross, as the President of my Homeowners' Association, as the first Office Manager of the Okaloosa County Seniors vs. Crime Office (a Special Project of the Florida Attorney General), and as a member, Secretary, then President of the local Republican Club. I have stepped down from all of these postions so that I can concentrate on running for the Crestview City Council which I am now doing.
