I teach. I learn. I lead. I write.

In my role as Teacher-Librarian and as a former Literacy Consultant (7-12), I have the awesome opportunity to work with educators and students in the areas of literacy and technology-enabled learning.

I am passionate about opening up opportunities for students to use technology and social media in positive and meaningful ways. I do this by showing them how to use technology and social media to learn and share learning, to address inequality, and to be a more positive influence in the lives of others. I am honoured to be writing a book that will showcase the voices of students and teachers who are also promoting this concept of student Digital Leadership.

I always surround myself with wise and wonderful people both in real life and online. I love the fact that social media affords me the opportunity to connect with and learn from so many talented people from around the world, as well as extend some of my face to face connections.

I am pursuing a MEd in Curriculum and Technology at UOIT in the hopes of pushing my own thinking and learning.

I am a wife and mom to two teens. The real challenge for me is to balance work, family, and my Twitter addiction.
