I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. During my studies I participated in several research activities, spanning across security, structured peer-to-peer overlays, concurrency control paradigms, software dependability, and speculative execution techniques.

I currently work at Honeywell Aerospace – Advanced Technology Europe, Czech Republic, as an R&D Scientist in the Platform Systems Group. I'm the Project Manager and Principal Investigator (on Honeywell side) of parMERASA, an FP7 funded project on the parallelization of safety critical systems.
