Julie Collman

I am a very outgoing outspoken person. I was an engineering major for the past four years, and upon becoming Studio Manager at PictureMe Photography, I have decided to pursue a more creative major in Business Advertising. I was a member of the Society of Women Engineers, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and SIUE Women's Club Soccer.

My focus in life is to be happy. Vague as that may sound it is true. I love having a demanding job where every move I make determines if the business succeeds or not. I have taken the roll of managing this business to heart, and most nights I am up thinking of new ideas to get customers in the door. I am looking for new positions that keep this challenge alive. Also, I am a very family oriented person and I absolutely love animals and the outdoors. Since I was very young I've loved being around children. I've babysat and worked at care centers for years, and I am very grateful for every moment.

My uncle recently asked, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Well I think finally I have my life in order. I want to be a college graduate with an amazing new job and an apartment of my own. I realize that a very important part of any 20 something's life is the ability to sell themselves. Well I know that I have a lot to learn, but I have even more to offer. Hopefully in 5 years I will be right on track with my goals... But I will strive to be there in 3.

I love my job as Photography Studio Manager, but I am ready for something more challenging. As I get into my business classes at SIUE I hope to learn more ways to help a company. I am extremely creative, and I am very excited to couple that with a healthy business education.
