Justin Craig Rowlands, PhD, is a recognized leader in chemical sustainability research. He has conducted research around the world and advised top officials in government departments and universities across the United States. Craig Rowlands is currently a senior scientist and research leader at The Dow Chemical Company’s toxicology, environmental research, and consulting division in Midland, Michigan.

In his current position, Dr. Rowlands co-developed a model for predictive toxicology assessments integral to the success of the company’s Next Generation Safety Center. This new center is vital to Dow’s 2025 sustainability goals. There, Dr. Rowlands and his team conduct research and advise the company on science-based policies.

Dr. Rowlands is a member of the Society of Toxicology and the American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology and a fellow of the American College of Nutrition. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular endocrinology at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden after completing his doctorate in toxicology at Texas A&M University.
