Jackson Crim
Student and Musician in Athens, GA
My name is Jackson Crim. I am currently a sophomore at UGA, and I am double majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. I grew up in Sandy Springs, GA. From a young age, I have always had a passion for guitar. When I was about eight years old, I told my mom that I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. After my first lesson, I was excited to go home and practice what I had learned. This passion continued up until the present day. I mostly enjoy playing classic rock and country songs and someday I hope to start performing in Athens or Atlanta. My dedication to playing guitar made me realize the benefits of putting in time and effort. It also taught me the importance of passion. The passion I had for guitar led me to be able to play at a level that seemed unachievable at first. I also played tennis in high school. I was not very passionate about tennis and played it more for fun than anything else. I also enjoy playing golf, disc golf, and ultimate frisbee. My interest in frisbee came from my dad, who would regularly play frisbee with my brother and me and introduced us to disc golf. I am excited to learn more about computer science and hope to use that knowledge in my future career.
