Jackson Crutcher

You cannot put Jackson Crutcher in a specific group of people, such as lawyers, doctors, or scientists. If there is a group for 'miscellaneous' this is probably his best fit. This is because he is a volunteer, an advocate, a leader, and a fond supporter of the "Harry Potter" series. He considers himself to be 'self-employed.' He is a strong supporter of comedy as well as history, films, and Japanese anime. It is no surprise that his favorite TV programs include personalities Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, and John Stewart.

Strong Supporter of the Harry Potter Books

He believes that literacy for youth is one of the major goals we should seek as Americans. He further believes that this can partly be accomplished by encouraging children to develop a strong desire for reading and a life-long love of books. He believes that the "Harry Potter" series created a beautiful land of fantasy allowing for a youthful diversity and equality. This is something essential for youthful imagination. He encourages everyone to read the series if they have not done so. Since it has been translated into 67 languages the books are available to most everyone to read.

Volunteer Jackson Crutcher Believes We Should Also Give Up Our Time

He also has a strong believe in helping others through volunteering. During his youth, like most others, he was faced with time constraints with his studies, extracurricular activities, and family time. Still, he found time to do volunteer work. During his youth he helped to raise money for "Educate Africa." He also gave his time to the "Medicine Horse Program" by volunteering with the organization named Peace Jam. Today he reflects on his volunteering and realizes the experiences helped to develop life skills and an awareness of the needs of his community.

He Encourages Youth To Volunteer Their Time

Jackson Crutcher believes that youth can obtain life-long skills by volunteering their time. In some organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, a youngster can actually develop trades and skills by the job experience involved. In this case the teenager would learn the basics of construction. Jackson believes that youth develop an awareness through volunteer activities. If a young person has an understanding of an issue, for example, an experience of volunteering can help to fully understand a problem or social issue and build a desire to do more to help improve the situation.
