Juan Carlos Velis

I started acting when I was three years old for Canal 8, Televisión Educativa, Canal 10 and The National TV Network of my native El Salvador. When I was eight, I starred in BARCO DE PAPEL which premiered at The International Film Festival of Peru. Due to the political situation in my country, my family and I moved to Canada in my early teens. I'm an Honours graduate from the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor with a BFA degree in Acting. I have worked in theatres across Canada and the US. Including The Festival of Classics, The Tarragon, The Saidye Bronfman Centre, The Kravis Center, Roseneath Theatre, The Philadelphia Children's theater, Coral Springs Theater, Lyric Stage, Green Thumb Theatre, The World Stage Festival, The Red Barn, Playwright's Theatre Centre, Second Best Bird Theatre, Dirty Little Monkey, The Factory Theatre, Alameda Theatre Company, Cahoot's Theatre Projects, Osculum, St. Lawrence Centre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Acropolis Theatre, The Grand Theatre and Soulpepper Theatre Company.
