So, who the heck is JD Collins? Truth be told that's what I'm discovering along the way.

Here's a little background. I've been writing since I can remember. It's a part of me, like breathing.

I worked in broadcasting for about 28 years until the economic balloon burst right over my head two weeks before Christmas 2008. I'm not bitter because some amazing things happened thereafter.

Change morphed itself into a path I never imagined. I became a full-time caregiver to my parents. Life taught me more lessons about life and death than ever imaginable. My duties as daughter meant sleepless nights that resulted in embracing my passions-writing and research. You can find that phase chronicled here: www.itsthedaughter.blogspot.com.

There have been revelations that have become resolutions. Life now feels more like being adrift in a vast ocean, but I have faith that someday soon I'll find a softer place to land.
