Jocelyn Donahoo
In 2003, Multiple Sclerosis compromised
my legs, and forced me to retire from
nursing. My legs were challenged,
but my mind and hands worked just fine.
So, I went back to school, and my life
took an unexpected detour.
I got bitten by the writer’s bug,
and have been writing every since.
My 2014 debut novella, The Cookie Cutter House,
available on Createspace and Amazon,
has gotten rave reviews. I've had poetry:
It’s Been a Long Time Coming,
I Take Chances, Snore Like a Tugboat,
and This Goatee is Too Much For Me,
and a short story, The One She Didn't Want to Burden
published in the Northwest Florida State College Blackwater
Review, literary journal, 2006, 2013, and 2014 editions.
My life wouldn't be complete
without my husband, Carl of 33 years,
and my 4 sons, 3 daughter-in-laws,
7 grandsons, & 4 granddaughters.
Catch me reciting poetry at Say the Word,
on the 1st Wednesday of the month,
at the French Quarter Grill in Niceville.
