My responsibilities are to provide facts and honest opinions about released or soon to be released video games so that the general gaming public can make an informed decision about a video game they may be thinking of purchasing. I have over 32 years of gaming experience, starting with the age of the Atari 2600 home console and the Commodore and Tandy computers of the time. Over the years I have played thousands of video games from as big as arcade cabinets to hand-held portable gaming devices. Since 1995 I have also made countless modifications (mods) for PC video games to give the player more use out of their games than what the original game provided. While most of my mods are done for the community and released as free, I have also enjoyed commercial success with mods I have released as shareware. Most of the mods I released were "realism" mods which introduced real-world factors into a game or increases the realism that was waiting to be unlocked. I presently review PC game releases with no sponsors or corporate responsibilities. The only compensation I have ever received for a review is a reviewer copy of the game or product I am reviewing and I intend to never sway from the creed that a game journalist can not be honest or truthful if the product they are reviewing is putting money in their bank account. I have never, nor will I ever, accept gifts or monies to favorably review a product, nor have I ever reviewed a product based on any other factors outside of the game itself. Only a strict moral code of ethics can a good journalist make.
