Jean Cottrill

My name is Jean and I am currently a first semester MLIS student at Kent State University. I graduated from Kent in 2012 with a degree in History. My natural curiosity for information and a love of old things coupled with my dad working in the library system gave me the push to pursue an MLIS. Currently my focus is in archives and digital collections. I think I would gain great satisfaction out of life if I was able to preserve old materials, allowing a new generation to discover them.

Currently I do nothing fancy outside of going to school. I page at the local library as well as work at a movie theater for some extra cash (which is surprisingly always lacking...)

When time allows I like to travel, recently spending the summer in Taiwan through a scholarship program. This summer I plan on traveling the United States. If I can swing it I would also love to spend some time in Europe, namely Great Britain. I also love reading, listening to 60s music, watching British television shows, and pretending to play the piano.
