Jean du Plessis

Jean has been a student of philosophy and religion for the past forty years. He holds a degree in Biblical Studies and World Religions, an advanced degree in Comparative Mysticism and has been a lifelong student of yogi philosophy. A successful entrepreneur and business executive, Jean and his wife Adele founded The House, a not-for-profit organization in South Africa that rescued young women and children trapped in lives of survival prostitution in the slums of Johannesburg. For ten years as CEO of The House, Jean’s work with the organization was featured in more than a hundred television productions and in countless articles, and he received numerous invitations by foreign governments and international organizations to deliver papers at conferences, speak at seminars and visit inner city slum programs all over the world.

Jean was the senior editor of the first English language edition of the Eastern Bible, and he is currently the editor-in-chief of teamSalvar Dàosenglu, which is responsible for the authoritative works produced by the International Association of Wayist Organizations. His team is currently working on the series that explicates Wayism’s primary text, making it more understandable, accessible, and available in a variety of text and electronic formats.

An ordained minister, Jean moved to Canada where he taught mysticism for an online seminary. His seminars and workshops are exceptionally popular, and in addition to North American venues, his seminars will take place in the Caribbean for the first time in 2012. As a professional Wayist coach and spiritual leader, Jean’s work reflects his wide learning, deep life experience and an extraordinary grasp of the mystical traditions.

Already the author of Wayism: A Primer, several new titles by Jean du Plessis are due for publication in 2011/2012, including the highly anticipated The Universal Gateway: The second coming of Jesus Christ as Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara in 78AD and The Universal Gateway: A Guide for Spiritual Beings.
