Married to ONE man, Two grown children, I have a herediary disability called Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease type 2A. It is a Neuro-Muscular disorder that can be very painful. It is a progressive crippling disorder. I have lost the majority of the muscle in my legs. I am no longer able to walk and I can only stand for a brief moment due to the weakness in my legs. My hands are becoming weaker as time passes by.There is no cure for CMT. Please do not tell me that I need to exercise to strengthen my muscles. All I can do is maintain what I have and if I am fortunate I will improve over time because I did not fatigue the musle that I currently have. Please do not say... "NO PAIN, NO GAIN". Sometimes where there is pain there is loss. Unfortunately the people that will say things such as NO PAIN, NO GAIN don't know what others deal with. If they did, they would NEVER say it to someone who is already suffering.
