My life = exploring biocultural diversity: the connections between nature and people. After working in 30+ countries, I settled in Northern California, where I serve as a scientific advisor for local government, tribes, and community-based agencies.

The author of Once Sacred Fruits – Human and Cultural Ecology of the Manggarai, Flores Island Indonesia (2012), my Pushcart-nominated prose can be found in the Bellevue Literary Review, The Citron Review, Flyway, Hippocampus, Inverted Syntax, The Portland Review, Silver Needle Press, Nowhere and elsewhere. My poetry routinely appears on Dan Robert’s spoken-word radio show Rhythm Running River on KZYX&Z, Mendocino County’s public broadcasting station.
