After graduating from Queens College with a bachelor’s degree in community health, Jeanne Braun attended the School of Public Health at Long Island University, where she earned a master’s degree in public administration. Following the receipt of her graduate degree, she served for over 15 years in the field of hospital administration, working with such renowned institutions as Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Flushing Hospital and Medical Center, Schneider Children’s Hospital, and the Health Systems Agency of New York City. In 1994, Jeanne Braun transitioned to service in the insurance industry when she became executive vice president of Physician's Reciprocal Insurers in Roslyn, New York. In her over 20 years in this position, Ms. Braun has accrued more than $1 billion in premiums for the company and achieved a retention rate of 90 percent.

Jeanne Braun maintains several financial certifications and professional partnerships. In addition to her associate risk management (ARM) designation with the Insurance Institute of America, she is a licensed property and casualty insurance broker and has held a number of board positions for the Spencer Educational Foundation. Moreover, Ms. Braun is a former board member of the Long Island Insurance Community and past president of the Risk and Insurance Management Society’s New York chapter.
