Jeannette Simmons is an experienced special educator and school consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) system and beyond. As a designated Highly Qualified teacher, she has taught children with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and emotional disturbances in grades K-5. Ms. Simmons provides educational assessment as well as consultation for the IEP process. She is available as a special education service provider, tutor, and to prepare and/or assist parents at IEP meetings in order to secure appropriate placements and educational programs for their children.

Ms. Simmons is experienced with screening, evaluation, itinerant resource support, plug-in and pullout small group teaching, self-contained special education classes and home school model instruction. Her area of expertise is in working with students with developmental delays across a wide-range of disabilities including Autism, physical and cognitive impairments, and emotional disorders.
