Jeannette T Yassin

A Master Herbalist and Certified Nutritional Consultant, Jeannette T. Yassin continues an in-depth study of Homeopathic and Natural Medicine, while at the same time serving as Child Protective Lead Investigator with the Florida Department of Children and Families. She has held that position for nearly three years. As a Lead Investigator, Jeannette T. Yassin is responsible for screening, evaluation, and investigation of potential child abuse cases. After a thorough investigation, Ms. Yassin prepares comprehensive reports and provides recommendations for appropriate action. Jeannette T. Yassin works closely with local and state police, private and public agencies, and members of the community. Her job demands knowledge of federal and state laws surrounding social services and protection for youth and children, as well as confidentiality rules, and a familiarity with various community service resources.

Jeannette T. Yassin has earned Honorary Recognition as an Educational Leader and Mentor from the Junior National Young Leaders Conference three times, and she most recently served on that organization’s national nominating committee. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Holistic Medicine from the Global College of Natural Medicine in Santa Cruz, California. In further pursuit of her interest in homeopathic medicine, Ms. Yassin has completed Acupuncture--Phase Two, and she is an accomplished practitioner of yoga and traditional exercises such as Tai Chi, and Chi-Gong.

Jeannette T. Yassin is an animal lover who has been acknowledged for her contributions to worthy causes, including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the Humane Society.
