Where to begin? I recently liberated myself from a five by five cubicle to become a stay at home mom to my two children, a move that has given me a years worth of decent mommy-blog material. After a few weeks and a few extra gray hairs I decided I needed to fill my days with more than peanut butter & jelly with the crusts cut off and reruns of Dora so I started screening short stories for a local sci-fi magazine. Then I started writing short sories and articles and submitting them to local magazines. At some point I decided that reading, writing and editing are the kinds of things that I want to do for the rest of my life and going back to school for a degree in professional writing seemed to be the next logical step. I jumped.
