Jeff Fenster graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University and later earned his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law.

Jeff Fenster has an extensive list of accomplishments and has worked for various well-known companies. He began his career as an A&R representative for Geffen Records. Jeffrey M. Fenster served as Head of A&R East Coast for Charisma Records; a sister label to Virgin Records (1990 to 1992), Head of A&R for Jive Records (1992 to 1999), Executive VP and Head of A&R for Island Def Jam Records (1999 to 2004), Executive VP of A&R for the second tenure at Jive Records (2005 to 2011), Executive VP of A&R for Warner Bros. Records (2011 to 2018)

Before joining A&R, Jeff Fenster worked as a lawyer. For around five years, he worked in Warner Bros. Records' Business Affairs department, where he managed negotiating recording contracts for musicians such as Guns N' Roses and Aerosmith.
